3rd March is remembered as World Wildlife Day. On the occasion of this day we honor the animals out in the wild and tune in to the lessons they bring.

You can celebrate this day by lighting a candle for the ones in the wild, dedicating a prayer for them, or even actively participating in any activity or donations for a local wildlife protection establishment. You can also join our Animal Reiki Circle this month where we will be celebrating and honoring all animals in the wild.

This is a collection of 10 memorable quotes that truly honor the animals and respect them as fellow beings on a shared journey.

"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."
Chief Seattle
"If you talk to the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them you will not know them and what you do not know, you will fear. What one fears, one destroys."
Chief Dan George
"Honor the sacred. Honor the Earth, our Mother. Honor the Elders. Honor all with whom we share the Earth:-Four-leggeds, two-leggeds, winged ones, Swimmers, crawlers, plant and rock people. Walk in balance and beauty."
unknown, Indigenous American saying
“Many of us feel a loss of connection, a distancing from the natural world that surrounds and maintains precarious toeholds within our cultivated, civilized areas. And so we bring the natural world into our homes—plants, fountains, dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish—to share our space with us. And we do this because it makes us feel good, perhaps not consciously realizing that what we seek is a return to balance, harmony, and connection with All Our Relations.”
ARC
“Here we are, the most clever species ever to have lived. So how is it we can destroy the only planet we have?”
Jane Goodall
"We patronize the animals for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they are more finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other Nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."
Henry Beston
"Maybe it's animalness that will make the world right again: the wisdom of elephants, the enthusiasm of canines, the grace of snakes, the mildness of anteaters. Perhaps being human needs some diluting."
Carol Emshwiller
“He could tell by the way animals walked that they were keeping time to some kind of music. Maybe it was the song in their own hearts that they walked to."
Laura Adams Armer
"If you can reach out and touch and love and be with wildlife, you will forever be changed, and you will want to make the world a better place."
Terri Irwin
"Wildlife is something which man cannot construct. Once it is gone, it is gone forever. Man can rebuild a pyramid, but he can't rebuild ecology, or a giraffe."
Joy Adamson
